World Wide Imports is a leading supplier of seasonal gifts to the New Zealand and Australian markets. With a proven track record of achieving outstanding sales results, World Wide Imports has attracted an impressive portfolio of brands encompassing quality chocolates, biscuits, confectionery, and gift sets for the Christmas and Easter events.
2000 - Established to meet the growing appetite of New Zealand consumers for overseas products, World Wide Imports was one of New Zealand’s first importers of European seasonal products. Founding suppliers included Hamlet & Klett Schokolade and they have remained loyal to World Wide Imports for over 20 years.
2006 – Continued success in New Zealand leads to growth opportunities and World Wide Imports branches out into Australia with the establishment of an Australian subsidiary.
2009 - World Wide Imports forms long term strategic alliance with Silver Crane UK to exclusively supply gift tins to Australia and NZ markets, harnessing the design strength of a global leader in tin design.
2010 - World Wide Imports establishes a key relationship with a food grade international packing facility increasing capacity to service growing demand. No job is now too big or too small!
2015 – The acquisition of a new warehouse and showroom sees Worldwide Imports move to its current head office location at 1 Stark Drive, Wigram, Christchurch.
2020 – World Wide Imports launches spice gift sets into the market. They prove to be an immediate sales success leading to the development of further brands in subsequent years.
Now firmly established as a key one-stop shop for key seasonal gift lines World Wide Imports continues to lead the market in developing new concepts for the ever-changing needs of its retail customers. Our Team
With degrees in finance and law, Scott didn’t see himself running a seasonal confectionery business but here he is! With close to 20 years in the business he clearly loves it and his drive to develop and grow the business has never been stronger. Scott thrives on turning ideas into reality and his ‘eye for design’ ensures customers and suppliers are never short on inspiration when it comes to creating the ‘next big thing’.
When not working Scott will be playing ‘taxi’ for his two daughters or enjoying time on the course (race or golf - he’s not fussy!)
With years in the business from its early inception, Scott’s world is World Wide Imports. His knowledge and expertise are central to World Wide Imports, including sales, operations, procurement and distribution. His relational manner means he values personal interaction with customers and suppliers, gaining a deep understanding of their requirements and discussing the array of services that World Wide Imports can both source and provide.
When he says ring anytime, he truly means it. Scott is prepared to work all hours to follow the next exciting development or talk business with our overseas partners, so he’ll be ready to take your call! In his personal time, Scott can be found up a muddy mountain track, often with his family and friends by his side. If not exercising for his own benefit, he will be supporting his children on the side of a sports field, court or turf and looking forward to a celebratory drink to finish.
